Grand Haven Main Street invites you to be part of this coming years Snowmen on Main Street! What is Snowmen on Main Street?
Snowmen on Main Street is a new COMMUNITY contest that allows YOU to express your snowman making talents without using snow! You may enter as an individual or as a team. Your snowman can be made out of any type of materials, it can be 2-dimensional or 3-dimensional, but it must be between 3 feet – 7 feet tall, and no wider than 36 inches. Your creation will be outdoors for over a week, your materials should be weather resistant. This is a family friendly event, be mindful of your audience. Once you create your masterpiece, drop it off to Grand Haven Main Street ON WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 10, between 9am – 12 noon. Once we have your registration and snowman, GHMS will attach your snowman to one of the light posts within the Grand Haven Main Street District, Washington Avenue from Harbor to Beacon and 7th Street from Washington to Beacon.
The competition will begin on Saturday, February 13 and run through Saturday, February 20. The community is invited to come to Grand Haven Main Street and vote for their favorite snowman. Winners will be announced Monday, February 22 via Facebook Live.
Our hope is that you will be part of this awesome opportunity!! Create your team, design your perfect snowman and join Grand Haven Main Street as we celebrate our amazing community. There will be a first place juried award and a first place peoples choice award – each will win a trophy and bragging rights that never expire!
Make this a friendly competition amongst your favorite businesses, schools, organizations and see who receives the most votes – those are the best bragging rights 😉
