12th Annual Wine Tasting Event on Grand Haven Main Street

Grand Haven Main Street is excited to once again celebrate winter with the 12^th annual Wine About Winter tasting event!  This year’s showcase of wines at select venues will take place on Friday, January 20th, 2023.  This unique event offers residents and visitors the opportunity to wander the heated sidewalks, in the midst of winter, and experience the warmth and vitality of our amazing businesses on Grand Haven Main Street!

The festivities, tastings, and food samplings kick off at 5:00 pm.  Local store fronts from Beacon Boulevard throughout Centertown and along Washington Avenue Downtown will be displaying specials, goods, and serving up treats & wine.  Jeremy Swiftney, Grand Haven Main Street Executive Director states, “This event, and events like it, are held so that residents and visitors alike can enjoy our historic and vibrant Downtown & Centertown businesses. An added plus is it helps our Lakeshore and local economy thrive.”  He continued, “Wine About Winter is always a very well attended event, and it continues to add to the vibrancy of Grand Haven Main Street. It also brings focus on our goal to continue making Grand Haven a year-round destination to be enjoyed by all.”  Participants will have the opportunity to shop in the many charming boutiques as they traverse the heated, snow free sidewalks of downtown Grand Haven. All while tasting appetizers and some of the best procured wines Fortino’s has to offer.  “Last pour” will be at 8:00 pm.

This year’s admission to Wine About Winter is the 12^th annual commemorative wine glass which will be on sale for $5.  These glasses can be purchased in advance (available 12/27/2022) at Fortino’s, located at 114 Washington Avenue.  Glasses will also be available to purchase on Friday, January 20th at 41 Harbourfront, in the common area beginning at 3:00 pm and in Centertown at Guitar Haven located at 17 N 7th Street.  Tasting tickets are only $3 each and will also be available for purchase at 41 Harbourfront, Guitar Haven, and outside Fortino’s and Borr’s.  Proceeds from this fundraiser are used for Main Street vibrancy and beautification purposes.
