In Grand Haven, we’re all rooting for each other. It’s a community where you really feel like it’s a small town ready to lock arms and say, ‘Let’s do this!’
— Dawn Gravlin, Elevate Your Every Day
“Someone said to me once, ‘Be grateful for the body you have right now.’ In ten years, you’ll look back at that body and go, ‘Oh, I wish I would have been kinder to myself and just embraced the body I had.’ It’s great advice, but also very hard for many women, so I love helping women find clothes that fit them well and fit their body style so they can feel confident. I really believe if you look good, you feel good, and you just show up in the world differently. I don’t *need* more clothes. You probably don’t *need* more clothes. But when we get a new outfit and we feel good in it, it really does impact how we show up in the world. I believe we each bring something that the world needs, so if I can help you feel great in your body, it’s a beautiful thing.
I like to ‘double dip’ outfits. When I was a teacher, I was like, ‘Can I wear this to teach but also wear this going out and feel cute?’ Those are the kind of clothes I love, and hence the name, ‘Elevate Your Everyday’. We carry everyday clothes that you can dress up or put on your tennis shoes and walk around town.”

“I’ve always been a people person. If you look back at all of my jobs along the way—which have been many—the one consistent thing is they’ve all been focused on people. I love interacting with people. I love getting to know people. I like to know their style, their story.
